Christmas Break is Finally Here!

The last couple of months have flown by. With all that has happened, Kristi and I often talk about how everything just seems to be a blur. Spencer will be home in a month - it will be nice to have all three boys at home for a while. We went and watched Nate bowl on Wednesday. I'm guessing it didn't make him too nervous for us to be there because he scored 189 and 193. He's a pretty good bowler. I'll try to get some pictures of him on the blog. In the meantime, here are some recent pics from our house. This is what you see when you walk out our front door.

Check out the icicles hanging from our roof! Someone put a live wreath on our front door. We have no idea who did it. Look above the wreath - aren't rain gutters supposed to be for rain?

Temple Square

The lights on Temple Square are a big attraction every year. Kristi and I haven't been up to see them this year, but Josh and Liz went last night. You can tell from the pictures that it's a bit cold. Josh had a good weekend, but I think he overdid it...bad, bad headache and body aches today after his treatment.

Where's Brandon When You Need Him?

This is what we woke up to this morning. It was beautiful. The picture of Nate is a video (click on the picture of Nate, then click on the little arrow).

Kristi's car died (it threw a rod - would cost way more to fix it than the car is worth). We donated it to the Kidney Foundation and they came and picked it up today. Just in time too - when the tow truck driver pulled the car up onto the platform it broke through and oil gushed everywhere.

Grandma Tries to get Daughter-in-Law Arrested!!!

While visiting family in Bakersfield, California this past weekend, Grandma Norma innocently suggests Kristi take home Christmas presents so she won't have to mail them. LAX security found no humor in the incident when Kristi's carry-on suitcase revealed "sharp and dangerous" items.

Mom's Surprise Birthday Party

Kristi and I made a quick trip to Bakersfield for mom's surprise birthday party. It was a very nice party and it was great to see family. Here's a few pictures from the party.

Yep, It Snowed!

Not a lot of snow, but enough for Kristi to shovel off the driveway. Of course it was nothing like the time Brandon's family came a few winters ago! There was Nate telling Brandon how to use a snow shovel.

Pictures from Spencer

Spencer sent home a camera card with a lot of pictures and videos on it. The last picture is the Balut egg that Spencer eats. It's the egg they eat on Fear Factor.

Update on Josh

Josh met with the oncologist Tuesday and Liz, Kristi and I (the clan) tagged along as usual. Josh will not be having more surgery to remove additional lymph nodes. If, however, the ongoing ultrasound monitoring shows any changes then surgery would be done to remove all the lymph nodes in that region. As for treatment, Josh will be receiving interferon for a year. Interferons are natural proteins produced by the cells of the immune system in response to challenges by foreign agents such as viruses, bacteria, parasites and tumor cells. Interferons assist the immune response by inhibiting viral replication within other cells of the body. Feel free to call me if you want more specifics. Thanks for all your prayers and concern.

The Big Dance.

Nate went to the Bingham Ball last Saturday with his girlfriend Kylie. He's having a blast on the bowling team.
